Trial Hole Results: The Trial hole (2.1 m depth) test passed, as 1.2 m of unsaturated soil could be achieved, (depth of hole to be 2m as requested from the ground water protection matrix , as there was “200”mm of water present in the trial hole after 48 hrs that is there was no signs of a high water table or bed rock, there was a perched water table after a wet few days. Some evidence of ground water mottling were encountered within the trial hole . There was .150m to organic topsoil on 2 m of grey clay. According to the flow chart for describing subsoil’s based on BS5930 the sub soil can be best described as a “B” a “SILT/CLAY"" with occasional cobbles. RECEIVED: 03/09/2025 Percolation test results: The “T” test Passed with a value of 72 min/25mm .The “P” test Passed with a value of 49min/25mm . I recommended that the percolation area is developed in accordance with site improvement works stated in the EPA “Waste Water Treatment Manuals: Treatment Systems for Single Houses. I David Leonard Engineer a qualified engineer will be in a position to supervise the site improvement works and issue a compliance document for submission to the Co Council on completion of the proposed works .
