To Whom It May Concern,
Monaghan County Childcare Committee CLG fully supports the proposed development by
Tydavnet Community Childcare to install a prefabricated structure close to St Dympna’s
primary school. This initiative will provide vital preschool and school-age childcare places to
support the children and families in the Tydavnet area.
Monaghan County Childcare Committee has worked closely with Tydavnet Community
Childcare throughout the planning process. We have offered guidance regarding the design
requirements of the proposed facility and the development and security of the outdoor play
area, ensuring compliance with the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations
2016. We have also advised the group on the importance of liaising with both the Local Fire
Authority and the Planning Department of Monaghan County Council.
Currently, there is no preschool provision directly feeding into the primary school in
Tydavnet, which has resulted in increased demand on neighbouring services to
accommodate local children. This development will significantly enhance early years and
afterschool provision in the locality, easing pressure on surrounding communities and
supporting school readiness.
We commend the group’s dedication to this project and wish them every success with the
planned development. Monaghan CCC remains committed to supporting Tydavnet
Community Childcare if theiongoing efforts to meet regulatory requirements and deliver
high-quality services fpr Chey rg cf fang ilies in the area.
