Dear Thomas
Regarding your inquiry about the availability of a water supply for the above housing
development. The Group water scheme is pleased to inform you that in so far as we
know at this time, we will be able to provide a water supply, subject to the required
connection fees that apply at the time of connection.

Water Connection & Development Requirements
• A minimum development fee of €20,000 is required to facilitate connection to
the scheme.
This amount will be deducted from the total connection fee for 45 houses @
€3,000 per house (€135,000 total).
• The minimum connection fee must be paid up front to allow works to begin and
to cover initial connection to the scheme.
• PE 125 mm OD polyurethane pipe shall be used throughout the scheme.
• Hawle clockwise-opening valves shall be used for all sluice and scour valves.
• Meter boxes shall be Talbot, and Arad meters will be supplied by the scheme.
• PE 20 mm OD polyurethane service pipe shall be used for all individual service
connections.
• All valve chambers must be constructed in accordance with Irish Water
specifications.
• All works must be carried out in full compliance with Irish Water standards
and specifications.
• Until the development is fully operational, water usage recorded at the bulk
meter will be charged at €1.20 per cubic metre.
• Once all works are fully certified and the development has been completed for
one year, an application should be submitted to the scheme requesting takeover
of the water mains.
