I wish to acknowledge receipt of your application for planning permission for the installation of 2 no.
modular, portable padel tennis courts, complete with artificial grass surface, 4m high fencing around
sections of the padel courts perimeter and 6m high integrated LED lighting and all other ancillary site
works at The Hillgrove Hotel Old Armagh Road Monaghan was received on 10/12/2025.
The drawings and specifications submitted with your application are being examined by the Council’s
technical staff and you will be notified of the Council’s decision in due course.
Please note that no work should be carried out in connection with the proposal until a written grant of
permission to do so has been received by you from this Council. The carrying out of work, without the
permission referred to, could render you liable for legal proceedings under the Planning Acts.
Please note that the validity of this application is subject to the Site Notice complying with the
Regulations. An inspection of the site will be carried out within a period of five weeks from the date of
receipt of your application. If in the event of the Site Notice not complying with the Regulations, this
application will be declared Invalid and returned to you.
