Erecting a 850 kW wind turbine located in the northern area of
our existing plant, with a hub height of 65 metres and a blade
radius of 26 metres, together with underground ducting
connecting to the existing ESB substation and all associated site
works. A Natura Impact Assessment (NIS) will be submitted to
the Planning Authority in connection with the application
described above. The NIS will be available for inspection or
purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a
copy. This development is covered by the provisions of the
Renewable Energy Directive III (Directive (EU) 2023/2413) and it
is important to note that the planning application may be subject
to section 34D of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as
amended.
