This planning application is relating to:
‘planning permission for the installation of 2 no. modular, portable padel tennis courts, complete
with artificial grass surface, 4m high fencing around sections of the padel courts perimeter and 6m
high integrated LED lighting and all other ancillary site works’.
The site is located within the Shambles_010 waterbody. This waterbody is currently at Poor Status. The
site is located on an area of Moderate Ground Water Vulnerability with regionally important aquifers
(R) Fissured bedrock (Rf).
A water protectfon checklist has not been provided with this applicatfon. The site layout plan does not
include any drainage details (storm water outiall points/interceptors). The applicatfon states that there
will be excavatfon works during the constructfon phase, no constructfon environmental management
plan has been provided.
The informatfon submitted with this applicatfon is not sufficient to allow a determinatfon on the
possible impacts of the proposed development on surrounding surface and ground waters. Therefore,
it is recommended that the following additfonal informatfon is requested from the applicant:
• Submit a fully complete water protectfon checklist.
• Submit a revised site drainage plan which clearly outlines all foul lines (in red), storm lines (in
blue) and the locatfon of all associated outiall points.
• Submit a Constructfon Environmental Management Plan. Any constructfon and demolitfon
waste or excess soil generated during the constructfon phase which cannot be reused on site
shall be disposed/recovered at an appropriately permitted facility in accordance with the
requirements of the Local Government (Waste Management) Act 1996 as amended using
authorised waste collectors authorised to collect the type of material for disposal at
authorised treatment facilitfes.
