I wish to acknowledge receipt of your application for permission for a development which will consist of
a) decommissioning and removal of existing wastewater treatment plant and percolation area and b)
installation of new treatment plant comprising a cast in-situ concrete compartmented tank structure with
four biozones, balancing tank, sludge storage tank, final settlement tank, control room and aeration
blower on a cast in-situ concrete plinth with fenced enclosure, c) 1670m2 reed and willow bed tertiary
treatment and polishing system d) new discharge to existing surface water course, together with e)
associated external works including new access to existing adjacent service yard, connections to all
existing services at Annayalla Chicks Ltd Annayalla Castleblaney Co Monaghan was received on
18/02/2026.
The drawings and specifications submitted with your application are being examined by the Council’s
technical staff and you will be notified of the Council’s decision in due course.
Please note that no work should be carried out in connection with the proposal until a written grant of
permission to do so has been received by you from this Council. The carrying out of work, without the
permission referred to, could render you liable for legal proceedings under the Planning Acts.
Please note that the validity of this application is subject to the Site Notice complying with the
Regulations. An inspection of the site will be carried out within a period of five weeks from the date of
receipt of your application. If in the event of the Site Notice not complying with the Regulations, this
application will be declared Invalid and returned to you.
