Background
The following additional information was requested:
a) Submit a fully completed Water Protection Plan checklist.
A fully completed Water Protection Plan checklist has been submitted as part of the
additional information.
b) Submit revised proposals for the storm water drainage system to take account of the
Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage guidance document on Nature-based
Solutions to the Management of Rainwater and Surface Water Runoff in Urban Areas.
Revised proposals for the storm water drainage system have been submitted. These include
the installation if a new oil interceptor to service surface water arising from vehicular areas,
and a 100m3 attenuation tank and a 5 L/s hydrobrake prior to discharging to the existing
storm drain. The revised proposals also include the diversion of an existing storm drain that
presently discharges to the west of the site, to the main surface water drainage system
which will flow to the proposed oil interceptor and attenuation tank.
c) Submit proposals for the installation of an oil/petrol interceptor to service the car parking and
yard areas.
The SuDS Design Report and updated drainage drawing (ref. 2558-P-106-A) proposes to
install a new Kingspan Klargester oil/petrol interceptor on the surface water drainage
system, prior to the proposed attenuation tank.
d) Submit a surface water drainage plan detailing how the surface water drainage system will be
maintained post development stage, and details of the responsible persons.
The additional information response letter states that the surface water drainage system
