I wish to acknowledge receipt of your application for permission to; a) construct a two storey extension
to existing dwelling house; b) alter & extend existing attached structure (formerly used as a dwelling
house), for proposed use as independent living accommodation; & c) construct pitched roof over existing
projection to rear, together with other alterations to existing structure. Proposal to also include new
proprietary waste-water treatment system & other associated ancillary site works, using existing site
access, at Tievaleny, Shantonagh, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan at Tievaleny Shantonagh, Castleblayney
Co. Monaghan was received on 27/03/2026.
The drawings and specifications submitted with your application are being examined by the Council’s
technical staff and you will be notified of the Council’s decision in due course.
Please note that no work should be carried out in connection with the proposal until a written grant of
permission to do so has been received by you from this Council. The carrying out of work, without the
permission referred to, could render you liable for legal proceedings under the Planning Acts.
Please note that the validity of this application is subject to the Site Notice complying with the
Regulations. An inspection of the site will be carried out within a period of five weeks from the date of
receipt of your application. If in the event of the Site Notice not complying with the Regulations, this
application will be declared Invalid and returned to you.
