SENIOR PLANNER Cam1 • CSZ, Z- => DATE 26/60048 Cormac and Loretta Fitzpatrick Alts,, Carrickmacross„ Co. Monaghan ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Note: A pre -application consultation did not take place. You and/or your assigned agent may wish to liaise with Planning Section prior to the preparation and submission of this Further Information. 1. Whilst the remodelling of the existing house is acceptable in principle under Section 15.10.1 (Alterations and Extensions to Dwellings) of the County Development Plan 2025-2031, the Planning Authority considers that the proposed hollowed gable incorporating apex glazing presents as a strong outward -facing architectural feature. Given the open, elevated and prominently visible context, this element is considered overly assertive and risks undue prominence in the rural landscape. You are therefore requested to: (a) Reassess and revise the design treatment of this gable to appear more visually recessive; and (b) Submit revised plans, sections and elevations clearly demonstrating how the amended design reduces visual prominence and improves integration with the rural setting, together with a brief design response addressing the above concerns. 2. In the interest of clarity, please submit a sample and/or manufacturer's details of the proposed external cladding and metal finishes, including colour and profile.
