I Hughie Martin of Aughrim Beg road (L8600) would like to lodge an objection to the above
planning application for the following reasons:-
1. I live on the Aughrim Beg road 1/2 mile from the above site and my house is very
close to the road, there is already currently in excess of 50 + trucks some days on this
road going to the existing landfill site (WFP MN-002-02) located on the R170
Culloville road, these trucks travel at unacceptable speed for the road conditions, the
local residents have been dealing with this for a number of years and if another land
fill is approved this will make this road even more dangerous for the residents.
2. The road is in appalling state at the moment, and in the area the landfill is proposed
the road is sinking with the weight of the constant HGV loads.
