Lorcan,
I refer to the attached proposals for a residential development comprising a total of 41no. units on the
subject lands.
Further to the planning being granted our client has instructed us to liaise with your department to reach
agreement on part V requirements.
As you will note from planning reference 19441 condition 1 states:
‘No development shall take place until a written legal agreement in compliance with the requirements of
Section 96 (social and affordable housing) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), has
been made between the developer and the Planning Authority relating to the provision of social and
affordable housing in accordance with the Monaghan County Council Housing Strategy’.
In accordance with Article 22(2)(e) of the Planning and Development Regulations (as amended), it
is proposed by the developer to meet part V obligations by transfer/sale of 3no. 2 bed dwellings
and 1no. 3bed dwelling within the scheme; specifically units 6, 7, 26 & 29 as per agreed place name
layout in Appendix 2.

In relation to condition 21 of the above permission, I wish to confirm that the proposed name
of Macartan View is acceptable to An Coiste Logainmneacha of Monaghan County Council.
The developer is required to display the name in bilingual format and the Irish version of this
name is confirmed as Radharc Mhic Chairtinn.
In relation to the numbering, it was previously agreed that the houses are numbered as
indicated in red on the attached numbering scheme layout.
There are no objections to the proposed location and appearance of the street name signage
as indicated on the attached numbering scheme layout, subject to it being placed in a location
that does not interfere with any vehicular, cyclist, pedestrian or disabled persons movements.
