I recommend that the applicant be requested to submit additional information as follows:
a. A raised continuous footway (table) is recommended at the development entrance
to maintain footpath continuity, clearly indicate pedestrian priority, and encourage
reduced vehicle speeds for traffic accessing the site, in accordance with DMURS and
Monaghan County Council standards.
b. Following discussions with the Roads Section, it is recommended that a Road
Safety Audit be carried out for the proposed development to assess the safety of
all road users.
