Integrating the above information groundwater would seem to be the main potential target at risk. Further analysis is to be carried out via trial hole inspection and percolation tests. "Note and record water level 3.2 Trial Hole (should be a minimum of 2.1m deep (3m for regionally important aquifers)) To avoid any accidental damage, a trial hole assessment or percolation tests should not be undertaken in areas which are at or adjacent to significant sites, (e.g. NHAs, SACs, SPAs, and/or Archaeological etc.), without prior advice from National Parks and Wildlife Service or the Heritage Service. All signs of mottling should be recorded. Through Roots I Through Roots 3.2 Trial Hole (contd.) Evaluation: This site appears to be suitable but the the separation distances need to be checked. The wastewater can be treated before entering the groundwater and the effluent will get away without Ponding at the surface. From analysis of the trial pit and the soil Layers a T value of 20-50 would be expected. Possible mottling at 1.0m below Ground level indicating seasonal watertable.
