Address: Cloghvally Lower TD, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan
The Road’s Section have reviewed this Planning Application in respect of Appendix 09 and 10 of the
Monaghan County Development Plan and comment as follows:
1) The Stage 1/2 Road Safety Audit Team does not appear to be independent of the Design
Team.
2) The submission from TII is noted.
3) The submitted documentation does not clearly state the types of vehicles expected to use
the development and if sufficient space is available for manoeuvres.
It is recommended that Further Information is requested as follows:
A. A Traffic & Transport Assessment (TTA) (including the Scoping Study) is carried out to
determine how/if the traffic generated by this development affects or exceeds the capacity
of the existing road network from the Business Park to the National Road taking regard of
existing and anticipated traffic volumes of other approved developments within the Business
Park.
B. The TTA shall classify the types of vehicles expected, and the layout drawings shall demonstrate
that sufficient parking and manoeuvring space is provided.
