26/60249 - permission will consist of alterations to site boundaries and re-location of a slatted cattle
shed with underground effluent storage tank previously granted under Plan Ref No. 2460041 and
all associated site development works at Corcrin\Trostan Carrickmacross Co. Monaghan.

Dear Sir/Madam,
With reference to the above application, I am to inform you that the information submitted is not
adequate to enable a decision to be made.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 33 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001
(as amended) you are hereby requested to submit further information as set out on the attached
page.
Article 33(3) states that “where a requirement under sub-article (1) or sub-article (2) (Clarification)
is not complied with within the period of 6 months from the date of the requirement for further
information, or such additional period, not exceeding 3 months, as may be agreed by the Planning
Authority, the planning application shall be declared to be withdrawn”.
It should be noted that you will be required to give notice in an approved newspaper under article
35(1)(a) and erect a site notice in accordance with Article 35 (1)(b) of the Planning and Development
Regulations 2001 (as amended) if the further information received is considered to contain
significant additional data.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. The Planning Authority notes that the proposed development is located within close proximity
Protected Structure Corcrin House (No. 41403120). Policy BHP 4 of the Monaghan County
Development Plan 2025-2031 seeks to ensure that ‘any new development proposed in the
vicinity of a Protected Structure will complement and be sympathetic to the structure and its
setting in terms of its design, scale, height, massing and use of materials and to resist any
development which is likely to impact on the building’s special interest and/or any views of
such buildings and their setting’. The Planning Authority also notes that the proposal includes
a new meal silo, however no dimensional drawings have been provided with regard to same.
In order to allow a full and proper assessment of the potential impact of the proposal on the
views and setting of Protected Structure Corcrin House (No. 41403120), the applicant is
requested to provide scaled, dimensional drawings of the proposed meal silo and detail of the
proposed finished floor level.
2. Section 15.13.1 ‘General Requirements for Agricultural Development’ of the Monaghan
County Development Plan 2025-2031 stipulates that all planning applications shall be
accompanied by a ‘Supplementary Planning Application Form for Agricultural Developments’
(Appendix 7). This documentation has not been provided with the application. In order to
ensure that the proposal fully complies with aforementioned Section 15.13.1, the applicant is
requested to provide a fully completed ‘Supplementary Planning Application Form for
Agricultural Developments’.
