I wish to acknowledge receipt of your application for permission & retention for development which will
consist of/consists of: 1. Permission for the complete removal of the existing occupancy restriction -
condition 1a, associated with Planning Ref. 07/459. 2. Retention of the existing dwelling house and
detached garage as constructed, including alterations and deviations from the dwelling previously
permitted under Planning Ref. 07/459 to include; On north eastern (right side) elevation, (a) Increased
height of parapet wall around perimeter of balcony area over dining room (b) Removal of ensuite
window at first floor (c) Ground floor kitchen window reduce in width On north western (rear) elevation,
(d) Increased width of rear dining room doors On Detached Garage, (e) Retain plaster finish to sides and
rear elevations (f) Window remove during construction on north eastern (right side) elevation (g)
Retention of the existing detached domestic store and open-sided covered storage area adjoining the
rear store, formed beneath a lean-to roof located to the rear of the garage. (h) Retain Solar panels on
pitched roof on south western elevation at Oakland House, Coolnalong Clones Co. Monaghan was
received on 01/09/2026.
The drawings and specifications submitted with your application are being examined by the Council’s
technical staff and you will be notified of the Council’s decision in due course.
Please note that no work should be carried out in connection with the proposal until a written grant of
permission to do so has been received by you from this Council. The carrying out of work, without the
permission referred to, could render you liable for legal proceedings under the Planning Acts.
Please note that the validity of this application is subject to the Site Notice complying with the
Regulations. An inspection of the site will be carried out within a period of five weeks from the date of
receipt of your application. If in the event of the Site Notice not complying with the Regulations, this
application will be declared Invalid and returned to you.
