MSCSI MRICS Finegan Jackson Building Surveyors Limited by the Council in the provision of car parking spaces that will facilitate the proposed development. The previous planning permission allowed for 4 car parking spaces for the subject property, under the basis that the property is rented out to only one family at a time (i.e. not a hostel / hotel scenario). It should be noted however, that there are 6 No. of bedrooms within the property. Emails from Brian McGeary on 24th August 2026 state that there is no allowance within Section 15.24 ‘Car Parking Standards’ of the Development Plan 2025-2031 to allow a shortfall in car parking spaces, without applying the car parking contribution. Therefore, a revised car parking layout delineating 6 No. car parking spaces is proposed within the curtilage of the property. The 6 No. parking spaces match the 6 No. of rooms within the property. This will satisfy Section 15.24 of the County Monaghan Development Plan 2025-2031 without the requirement for a financial contribution. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Yours Sincerely, Joe Mc Cabe B.Sc. (Hons.) Build. Surv. DipFD REC E I V E D : 1 8 / 0 9 / 2 0 2 6
