I wish to acknowledge receipt of your application for permission for development at a Protected
Structure (MCC Ref: 41001086) located within an Architectural Conservation Area, comprising the
following i. demolition of existing three-storey rear return and reconstruction to the original height &
footprint, ii. alterations to existing window and door openings, together with the formation of new
openings. iii. revised design to that previously approved under MCC Ref: 25/60252, comprising the
reversion of the third floor to attic/storage use in lieu of the previously approved one-bedroom
apartment, iv. alterations to the existing foul and surface water drainage connections, as required ,
together with all associated site development and ancillary works at No. 4 The Diamond Monaghan Co.
Monaghan was received on 10/09/2026.
The drawings and specifications submitted with your application are being examined by the Council’s
technical staff and you will be notified of the Council’s decision in due course.
Please note that no work should be carried out in connection with the proposal until a written grant of
permission to do so has been received by you from this Council. The carrying out of work, without the
permission referred to, could render you liable for legal proceedings under the Planning Acts.
Please note that the validity of this application is subject to the Site Notice complying with the
Regulations. An inspection of the site will be carried out within a period of five weeks from the date of
receipt of your application. If in the event of the Site Notice not complying with the Regulations, this
application will be declared Invalid and returned to you.
